Hundreds of people of all ages gathered at First Lutheran Church on Oct. 25 to step out for the annual Crop Walk to support food programs locally and across the globe. Among those participating were members of Kids Who Care, Bread for Life’s youth volunteers, and their families. Staffing the refreshment table are, from left to right, Peter Leppones, Sydney Leppones, Eldon Hafford, BFL executive director, Christina Sack, PJ Leppones and Joe Sack. Donated refreshments included water from Southington Community Services, apples from Rogers Orchards and granola bars from Bread for Life.
“Without all the support of the youth, it could not have happened. You are making a great difference in feeding the hungry worldwide,” Hafford said.
