The state bonding commission approved today a grant to Bread for Life that will allow the organization to unify its operations in a new building in Southington on Vermont Avenue.  BFL plans to break ground in a few months.

Executive Director Eldon Hafford said:

“Thank you Governor Malloy. We also deeply appreciate the support and guidance from Joe Aresimowicz and Dave Zoni, who share an impressive commitment to the less fortunate in Southington. It will be wonderful to have all of our operations together in one location to serve the hungry.”

Board Chairman Mike Soltys:

“Bread for Life’s focus on ensuring that no one in Southington goes hungry has never been stronger.  This grant will allow us to continue to fulfill that mission for decades to come. It is a proud day for Southington.”

Board Vice Chair Bill McDougall:

“This is a dream come true for all of us at Bread for Life. The road has been a long one with some curves but through the help of several people and through much prayer our proposed new home will soon become a reality.”
